ABOUT US: We are a growing practice, serving Fort Lauderdale, FL for over 11 years. Our CEO, Dr. Peter Ventre is Chief of Psychiatry at Broward Health Medical Center and he is very passionate about patient care, research, medical education!

We are one of the few psychiatry practices with a fully certified Electronics Medical Records (EMR) system, fully digital (that means no paper charts). Our full-time staff handles all administrative and support functions so you can focus solely on patient care and good charting. Our office has home-like comfortable, furnished rooms, computers, and high-speed internet access. If you are interested in research, we also have our sister facility Research Centers of America (RCA) where Dr. Ventre is the director and principal investigator. RCA runs clinical trials for psychiatric pharmaceuticals.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Our psychiatrists have the option to work at inpatient facilities, ER psych, outpatient clinic, detox centers, ALF, and PHP. Additionally, our psychiatrists have an opportunity to become involved in psychiatric clinical trials with pharmaceutical companies testing new medications. Psychiatric evaluations and medication check. Hours are full time but have some flexibility. We have an atmosphere of colleagues and professionalism. If you are a new grad or early career psychiatrist, we will give you as much guidance and mentoring as you need, including risk management and EMR training. We don’t consider you an employee— we want you to be a colleague and partner!

THE POSITION:

We are looking for a Board-Certified Psychiatrist that wants to relocate to Fort Lauderdale, FL and work at our headquarters in Oakland Park seeing patients full-time providing outpatient services.

We offer a very competitive salary, plus incentives. This is a Full-time, W2 Employee position, NOT as an independent contractor. This means full benefits which may include health insurance benefits (dental and vision available as well), malpractice, credentialing with facilities and insurance companies, worker’s comp insurance, retirement 401K, CME and EMR. Full time office staff to schedule your appointments, take the phone calls, and deliver messages from patients. We negotiate insurance contract rates to offer the highest salaries to our psychiatrists. We assist and advise on contracting.

Staff will call patients at your direction and post digital records of the calls to the chart. Electronic schedule and charts are accessible from your office, your home, your iPad, or your iPhone. 100% secure.

Paperless electronic charting, so you can complete and sign off charts from the office, home or from the beach…

Advertising, insurance contracting, billing, electronic prescriptions, patient, and peer portals are provided. We give you advanced EMR training and guide you in making excellent notes.

We answer and triage every phone call live for you, providing a “call back” list so you don’t miss any important calls. Our staff confirms patient appointments and tracks each call. We track and document patient compliance with follow-up appointments, and we work with you to maintain treatment relationships.

If you are a new grad, we will help mentor you on request, we like to work as a team! We offer CME and MOC for ongoing board certification.

If interested in research, you could be a co-Principal Investigator for paid clinical trials. Research opportunities for Anxiety, Depression, Schizophrenia are available.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Florida License in good standing (MD degree). Board Certified or Eligible in Psychiatry. Willing to relocate to South Florida Region for full-time work.
