Dr. Juan Quirós is of Puerto Rican descent and was born and raised in beautiful Louisville, Kentucky, where he completed his bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Louisville. He then completed his Doctorate of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine, with emphasis on rural medicine and care for underserved populations. This was followed by completion of the General Psychiatry Residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.
Dr. Quirós moved to Miami in the fall of 2020, and completed a year of training in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Citrus Health Network in conjunction with Florida International University. Dr. Quirós has numerous clinical interests and passions, which include treatment of anxiety disorders, major depression, substance use disorders, personality disorders, and psychosis. Dr. Quirós was trained in several modes of psychotherapy, including CBT, and includes these modalities in his holistic care of patients.
