Ahmed Ahad, MD, is a caring and compassionate physician currently completing his psychiatry residency at Broward Health. Dr. Ahad treats a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and grief.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Florida, Dr. Ahad earned his bachelor’s degree from Duke University before completing his medical degree at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. His clinical training has focused on providing evidence-based, patient-centered psychiatric care across a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Ahad is passionate about providing this comprehensive care to his home community of South Florida.
Dr. Ahad enjoys working with the adult general population and has a special interest in caring for individuals on the autism spectrum. His passion for psychiatry has been shaped not only by his clinical experiences but also by personal experiences with family members affected by autism, depression, and substance use, giving him a deeper appreciation for the challenges faced by patients and their loved ones.
