Approach to Care
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Eickmeyer moved to Florida to pursue both her undergraduate education and medical training. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Miami before receiving her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. Her experiences caring for patients from diverse backgrounds strengthened her passion for psychiatry and reinforced her belief that one of the most powerful tools in medicine is listening with empathy.
Dr. Eickmeyer takes a holistic, individualized approach to psychiatric care, recognizing that emotional well-being is influenced by far more than symptoms alone. She strives to understand each patient’s personal story, life experiences, goals, and strengths before developing a treatment plan tailored to their unique needs.
In addition to treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions, Dr. Eickmeyer has a special interest in adolescent mental health and lifestyle psychiatry. She works collaboratively with patients to incorporate healthy habits—including sleep, physical activity, nutrition, stress management, and meaningful social connection—into comprehensive treatment plans. Her philosophy combines evidence-based medicine with education, collaboration, and preventive care to support long-term mental and emotional wellness.
She provides care exclusively in English and is committed to fostering an inclusive, affirming environment where every patient feels safe, valued, and supported.
