Dr. Humberto Caro Gautier (Dr. Caro) was born and raised in Dorado, Puerto Rico. He completed his bachelor’s degree in biology at Universidad de Puerto Rico; his medical degree at Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamon, Puerto Rico; and his residency in general adult psychiatry at Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.
During Dr. Caro’s residency at Drexel University, he won the Award for Excellence for his work during his time with the Psychiatric Medical Care Unit. After his residency, he completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Ponce Health Sciences University. Dr. Caro has been part of Ventre Medical since August 2017 where, in 2018, he was named Doctor of the Year.
Profoundly committed to improving his patients’ quality of life, Dr. Caro is certified in deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)–to treat major depressive disorder–and he is also Suboxone certified–to treat opioid use disorder.
