Dr. Landon Mediavilla D.O. (“Dr. Med”) is a South Florida native who enjoys caring for all manner of patients. His motto is “here for good people having a bad day”. Dr. Med’s Catholic faith informs a compassionate, person-centered approach to care while respecting each patient’s individual beliefs. Dr. Med is comfortable seeing patients of all ages. He treats a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and grief.

Journey and Approach to Care

orn in Hollywood, Florida, Dr. Med earned his bachelor’s degree from University of Miami before completing his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (Georgia Campus).
Dr. Med’s clinical training has focused on providing evidence-based, patient-centered psychiatric care across a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. He is passionate about serving the South Florida community by helping patients navigate life’s challenges with compassion, respect, and individualized care.
Dr. Med enjoys working with the adolescent and adult population with a special interest in the treatment of grief, depression, suicide prevention, and holistic mental health care. He is particularly passionate about working with individuals who feel stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about their purpose in life, helping them identify their strengths, overcome obstacles, and reach their fullest potential.
His commitment to psychiatry has been shaped not only by his clinical experience but also by personal experiences with family members affected by suicide, bipolar disorder, and substance use. These experiences have deepened his understanding of the profound impact mental illness can have on individuals and their loved ones, strengthening his dedication to providing empathetic, comprehensive care.
In his free time Dr. Med enjoys spending time with his wife children and 2 dogs, fishing, free diving, collecting Pokémon cards, and retro gaming.
