Megan Fino, RCSWI, is a dedicated Registered Clinical Social Work Intern at My Psychiatrist. She specializes in working with young adults experiencing mood disorders and the geriatric population. Megan’s own journey with anxiety inspired her to pursue a career in mental health, giving her a deep understanding of the courage it takes to seek support. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy to help clients navigate mood disorders such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, depression, bipolar II, as well as life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and everyday stress. Her goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
Journey and Approach to Care
Megan earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Tulane University. She believes that every client deserves individualized, compassionate care and works collaboratively to build on each person’s unique strengths and goals. Drawing from evidence-based approaches while incorporating clients’ interests and passions, Megan strives to make therapy both engaging and effective. She is committed to fostering genuine therapeutic relationships built on trust, empathy, and respect, helping clients develop practical coping skills while building confidence and resilience.
