As a Patient Care Liaison, you’ll help create exceptional patient experiences while supporting providers through organized workflows, proactive scheduling, and seamless care coordination.

The Role
Based in South Miami, you’ll support Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, therapists, TMS providers, Medical Assistants, and operational leaders delivering integrated behavioral healthcare through both in-person and telehealth services.

What You’ll Own
Patient Experience & Front Office Excellence
You’ll help create the experience patients remember.
- Welcome patients with professionalism, warmth, and confidence
- Create a calm, organized, and welcoming office environment
- Manage patient check-in and check-out with accuracy and efficiency
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, consent forms, and registration details
- Ensure every patient begins their visit feeling informed and supported
Scheduling & Continuity of Care
- Coordinate appointments based on provider treatment plans
- Maintain accurate provider schedules while minimizing scheduling conflicts
- Complete Pre-Visit Planning (PVP) and appointment confirmations within established timelines
- Verify appointment readiness, insurance eligibility, and patient preparedness before each visit
- Perform proactive outreach to reschedule cancelled and missed appointments to support continuity of care
Communication & Workflow Coordination
- Serve as a trusted liaison between patients, providers, clinical teams, and operational staff
- Guide patients through next steps with professionalism and clarity
- Communicate proactively using HIPAA-compliant phone, text, and digital communication platforms
- Escalate patient concerns appropriately while ensuring timely follow-through
- Support provider workflow by maintaining accurate schedules and reducing administrative barriers
Documentation & Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Records
- Document scheduling activity, patient interactions, communication attempts, and appointment updates in real time
- Support front-end revenue cycle integrity through accurate patient registration and payment collection
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality throughout every patient interaction
- Contribute to workflow improvements that strengthen both patient experience and operational efficiency
Requirements
We’re looking for professionals who naturally combine organization with emotional intelligence.
Required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Two or more years of experience in healthcare, patient coordination, medical front desk operations, behavioral health support, or a comparable patient-facing healthcare environment
- Experience using Electronic Health Records and appointment scheduling systems
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Professional telephone etiquette and exceptional customer service
- Comfortable using HIPAA-compliant texting platforms, digital communication tools, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Strong ownership, accountability, and operational follow-through
Preferred
- Behavioral health or psychiatry experience
- Experience with Tebra, Curogram, and RingCentral
- Experience supporting outpatient physician practices
- Knowledge of insurance verification, patient registration, and payment collection workflows
