Her Journey and Approach to Care
Rhonda began her education with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wayne State University. She pursued a Master’s Degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy, where she worked in the automotive industry for ten years. Seeking to make a more direct impact on individuals’ lives, she was offered a scholarship for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Detroit Mercy.
She started her nursing career in Michigan, working in acute care before relocating to Florida in 2011. In Florida, Rhonda continued her work in acute care, hospice, and home health. Finding nursing in Florida profoundly different from Michigan, she returned to school for dual certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Nova Southeastern University, graduating with honors in both programs.
Rhonda believes in treating patients comprehensively, addressing both physical and mental health needs. She combines her extensive experience with a caring attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively assess, diagnose, and treat the mental health needs of her patients. Her holistic approach ensures that patients receive the highest quality care and support on their journey to mental wellness.
