Andrew Benjamin, LCSW, is a compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker at My Psychiatrist in Boca Raton, Florida. With extensive experience working with forensic adolescents and adults, Andrew is dedicated to providing personalized mental health care to his patients.
He specializes in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, meditation, and mindfulness practices to help patients overcome challenges and live their lives to the fullest.
His Journey and Approach to Care
Andrew began his journey in mental health at the University of Alberta, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. He furthered his education at the University of Calgary, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work in 2013.
Passionate about helping individuals overcome obstacles, Andrew was instrumental in creating the Safe & Sober domestic violence program, which supports men struggling with addictions and abusive behavior. He also co-created the Quest program, designed to help developmentally delayed adults learn psychosocial skills to improve their quality of life.
In May 2020, Andrew moved to South Florida and joined the My Psychiatrist team in Boca Raton. He believes in empowering his patients by providing them with the tools and strategies they need to achieve personal growth and find lasting solutions to their challenges.
