Bianca Torres, PMHNP-BC, is a thoughtful and dedicated board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at My Psychiatrist’s Sheridan office. A Miami native with proud Cuban roots, Bianca brings a deep understanding of the cultural and emotional needs of the community she serves. Her approach to care is grounded in respect, connection, and practical guidance—meeting each patient with empathy and helping them build the confidence to move forward.
She specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, ADHD, sleep disorders, postpartum depression, and adolescent mental health. Bianca is known for creating a supportive environment where patients feel understood, encouraged, and motivated to take charge of their mental well-being.
Her Journey and Approach to Care
Bianca began her healthcare career as a registered nurse, working for over eight years in fast-paced, high-acuity environments such as intensive care units, neuro ICUs, and the peri-anesthesia unit at the University of Miami Hospital. These experiences shaped her ability to think critically, stay calm under pressure, and connect with patients in their most vulnerable moments.
Her transition into psychiatric care was driven by a desire to address the mental and emotional challenges she saw throughout her time at the bedside. Today, she blends her hands-on medical background with evidence-based psychiatric treatment—drawing on both her clinical expertise and her natural ability to relate to people.
