Christina Gucciardo, PMHNP-BC, is a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner proudly serving patients at My Psychiatrist’s Lake Nona office in Orlando, FL. A Florida native, Christina is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to connect deeply with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. She specializes in providing comprehensive, person-centered psychiatric care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Christina treats a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders, and has a strong clinical interest in LGBTQ+ mental health and wellness. She is passionate about supporting her community and creating a safe, inclusive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Her Journey and Approach to Care
Christina’s journey into psychiatry began as a Registered Nurse, where she cared for patients during moments of both vulnerability and resilience. Inspired to provide deeper and more holistic support, she pursued advanced training and is completing her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health at Saint Thomas University. Her academic background also includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Barry University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University.
Her approach to care is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration. Christina meets patients where they are, offering evidence-based treatments, personalized coping strategies, and thoughtful medication management when appropriate. She believes that mental health care is not one-size-fits-all and takes time to tailor each plan to fit the patient’s lifestyle and goals. Known for her calm, steady presence, she is especially passionate about helping caregivers, busy professionals, and those who feel they’ve had to be “strong for too long” find clarity, strength, and renewed hope.
