Jacquelyn Garetano, LCSW, is a compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker at My Psychiatrist in Boca Raton, Florida. With over 15 years of experience serving the community, Jacquelyn specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has extensive experience with the LGBTQIA+ community of all ages, with a specialty in Gender Identity Affirmation in youth. Jacquelyn also works with individuals with developmental disabilities and those living with HIV.
Her Journey and Approach to Care
Jacquelyn earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. Having lived in Florida for over 25 years, she is deeply connected to the community she serves. Jacquelyn utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, meditation, and mindfulness practices as her primary treatment modalities.
Passionate about advocacy, she assisted in the creation of support and therapeutic groups at the local LGBT Community Center for children and teens in the LGBTQIA+ community. Jacquelyn is dedicated to creating a warm and inclusive environment where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to live their lives to the fullest.
