Dr. DeMatteo has always believed that healing begins with listening. Growing up in Pennsylvania, Dr. DeMatteo’s path from kindergarten to his degree in neuroscience at Muhlenberg College was shaped by a deep curiosity about the mind and an even deeper desire to help others find hope in the face of life’s challenges.
Driven by compassion and a passion for making a meaningful difference, Dr. DeMatteo moved to Philadelphia to pursue his dream of becoming a physician. Throughout college and medical school, his connection to psychiatry only grew stronger, fueled by the stories of resilience he witnessed and the understanding that every person’s journey is unique. Now, as a psychiatry resident in sunny South Florida, Dr. DeMatteo is honored to walk alongside individuals on their path to healing and growth.
His Journey and Approach to Care
Dr. DeMatteo is dedicated to creating a safe, affirming space for everyone he treats and those facing depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), schizophrenia, and more.
