Jessica Cuero, RCSWI, is a compassionate Registered Clinical Social Work Intern at My Psychiatrist. With a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida International University, Jessica is dedicated to sparking positive transformations in the lives of individuals and families.
She specializes in supporting adults navigating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, as well as providing therapeutic case management to children and families affected by disabilities and chronic illnesses. Jessica brings a versatile skill set from her experience in outpatient mental health centers and community-based organizations.
Her Journey and Approach to Care
Jessica’s passion for mental health began during her studies at Florida International University. At New Horizons Community Mental Health Center, she honed her expertise in crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, and case management, supporting adults with co-morbid mental health and substance use disorders.
Furthering her journey, Jessica served as a Family Support Specialist at JAFCO Children’s Ability Center, offering therapeutic case management to children and families dealing with disabilities and chronic illnesses. Her holistic approach encompasses emotional guidance and strategic connections to vital community resources, ensuring families receive comprehensive support.
