Dr. Marisara Morales-Ortiz is a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist and Board-Certified Pediatrician providing comprehensive psychiatric care in Orlando and throughout Central Florida. With additional board eligibility in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, she delivers integrated mental health treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Morales-Ortiz specializes in the evaluation and treatment of ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and behavioral challenges. Her dual expertise in pediatrics and psychiatry allows her to approach care through a whole-person lens—recognizing the critical connection between emotional health, development, and physical well-being.
Fluent in English and Spanish, she offers culturally responsive psychiatric care for families across Orlando and the greater Florida region.
Her Journey and Approach to Care
Dr. Morales-Ortiz began her medical career in Pediatrics, where she witnessed firsthand how emotional and psychosocial factors shape long-term health outcomes. Recognizing that mental health is foundational to overall well-being, she pursued advanced training in Psychiatry to address the full spectrum of mind-body care.
Her approach is patient-centered, collaborative, and family-focused, emphasizing education, shared decision-making, and empowerment. She works closely with patients and families to create individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, psychotherapy, and behavioral strategies when appropriate.
Dr. Morales-Ortiz is particularly passionate about early intervention and developmental psychiatry, understanding that timely, compassionate mental health care can significantly influence life trajectories.
Her training includes crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, psychopharmacology, developmental psychiatry, and multidisciplinary collaboration across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
Dr. Morales-Ortiz sees patients in-person in Orlando and offers secure telepsychiatry services throughout Florida, providing accessible mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults across the state.
