Dr. Marlon Vazquez, MD, is a highly accomplished, dual board-certified psychiatrist and the Chief Medical Officer at My Psychiatrist in Lake Nona, Florida—a community with a large Hispanic population. A proud Puerto Rican veteran, Dr. Vazquez is dedicated to improving the mental health and quality of life for individuals of all ages. His Latino heritage provides him with a unique cultural understanding, compassion, and deep commitment to his patients.
He specializes in treating a wide range of mental health challenges, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, men’s issues, veterans’ issues, ADHD, sleep disorders, dementia, and more. Dr. Vazquez is also specialized in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy for treatment-resistant depression.
His Journey and Approach to Care
Dr. Vazquez received his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. While building his psychiatry career, he served for 12 years as a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve. These experiences taught him the importance of resilience, adaptability, and the value of each individual’s story.
These lessons have deeply influenced his approach to patient care, which centers on understanding each person’s unique background, experiences, and goals. He believes in providing comprehensive, personalized care where patients feel truly heard and understood.
