Melissa DeHosson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and advocates for mental wellness based out of South Miami. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Florida State University in 2017 and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida International University in 2019.
Melissa has an array of different experiences working with children, adolescents, and adults that have helped shaped her treatment style. She has worked in community mental health, and educational settings, and alongside survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
Melissa utilizes a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to care and incorporates elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness with her clients. She has worked with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, stress, relationship issues, grief and loss, anger management, substance abuse, and various other mental health concerns. She believes in empowering her clients to cultivate positive change in their lives and believes that all clients have the potential to improve.
