Raphael Palacios, APRN, is a compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at My Psychiatrist in Hollywood, Florida. Born in Jersey City, NJ, and raised on Florida’s Treasure Coast, Raphael brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his practice.
He specializes in providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals across the lifespan, both in-person and via telemedicine. Fluent in English and Spanish, Raphael is also certified for Suboxone Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder and TMS Therapy for treatment-resistant depression, ensuring accessible care for a diverse patient population.
His Journey and Approach to Care
Raphael began his medical career by serving as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy. After his honorable discharge in 2007, he pursued his passion for nursing by obtaining his Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans, LA.
Throughout his nursing career, Raphael has worked in various settings, including the emergency department, critical care unit, and psychiatry. While working, he continued his education, earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He then graduated with his Advanced Practice Nursing degree, specializing in psychiatry, from Southeastern Louisiana University.
In December 2020, Raphael returned to Florida to join the My Psychiatrist team. His military background and diverse clinical experience contribute to his holistic approach to mental health care. Raphael is committed to helping patients identify their goals and develop personalized plans to achieve them.
