Stephanie Craig, LCSW, is a compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker at My Psychiatrist in Oakland Park, Florida. With over 20 years of experience, Stephanie is dedicated to providing personalized mental health care to children, adolescents, families, and adults.
She specializes in supporting patients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, parenting, attachment issues, complicated grief/loss/bereavement, and coping with complex and chronic medical conditions and end-of-lifeconcerns. Stephanie utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Life Story Work. She also enjoys incorporating art-based interventions in her work with patients.
Her Journey and Approach to Care
Stephanie began her journey in mental health at Illinois State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She furthered her education at the University of Illinois, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2001. Throughout her career, Stephanie has worked in various settings, including home-based therapy, foster care and adoption services, hospitals, and outpatient clinics in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
Having resided in South Florida for almost 10 years, Stephanie brings her encouraging and energetic nature to serving the needs of her patients. She creates a warm and safe space where patients feel understood, empowered, and are partners in working through life’s challenges.
