Vanessa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a therapist at My Psychiatrist in South Miami. She attended Florida International University where she received both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work. During her master’s program she interned at Citrus Adult Stabilization Unit where she implemented Crisis Intervention. Vanessa worked with patients who suffered from a variety diagnosis such as, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, and more. She has experience in working with adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population.
She utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Motivational Interviewing techniques, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Strength-Based approach as some of her treatment modalities while in-stilling hope and building off my client’s strengths.
Vanessa has worked with clients who struggle with Anxiety, Depression, Psychosis, and chronic illness. She is excited and looks forward to partnering with My Psychiatrist to help patients reach their goals.
