Yubeluiska “Yube” Minaya, LMHC, is a compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor, providing personalized care to adults aged 18 to 65. Speaking both English and Spanish, Yube brings a rich cultural understanding to her practice, making her especially attuned to the challenges faced by her diverse community. She effortlessly connects with South Florida’s Hispanic population, ensuring her patients feel understood and supported.
Yube specializes in treating a variety of mental health concerns, including anger management, conflict resolution, life transitions, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, bipolar disorder, substance-related issues, workplace challenges, self-esteem, stress management, domestic violence, and relationship concerns.
Therapy and Approach to Treatment
Her passion for mental health began during her studies at Barry University, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Counseling, with specializations in Clinical Mental Health and Marriage & Family Counseling. Yube’s holistic approach combines empathy, cultural sensitivity, and collaboration, offering patients a safe and supportive space.
She utilizes therapeutic methods such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, the Duluth Model (for domestic violence perpetrators), mindfulness-based practices, and person-centered techniques. Yube believes in empowering her patients to achieve meaningful, lasting change.
